So I was going to work last week and I threw cap on the Powerade I was drinking, slid it into the side pouch of my purse (where I keep my cell phone) and headed off to work.
10 minutes later I arrived at work and noticed my purse was leaking slightly. Who knew my purse was almost completely water-tight? So I reach into my now sloppy-soggy purse and grab my cell phone. It had been completely submerged in Powerade for who knows how many minutes. Of course right then it rang....Ian calling to ask me a question, and I couldn't hear him at all. So I set my phone aside, went to the restroom to dump out the remaining inch or so of Powerade and tried to dry it out the best I could.
I shut off my phone and took out the battery, luckily the battery and SIM card never got wet, but the display went out and wouldn't turn back on. So all weekend I've been without my phone, hoping it would dry out and I could use it again.
Oh and did I mention that my schedule for worship team just happened to be an old one, so I WAS supposed to be on this week, but I didn't know it! That's ok though because practice was moved to Friday night instead of Saturday night and I didn't know that either (no one could call me and tell me with a fritzed out phone)! So if I would have known I was on, I would have gone on the wrong night! Sometimes multiple misfortunes turn out to be fortunate in the end!
So, today I tried turning it back on. It worked! Well, the screen has this weird texture behind the picture to it now, it sort of looks like a map, so I put on a picture of lightning so it just looks like cool cloud formations! Problem solved, right?
Oh and soon I'll post some pics from Dana's trip! I just haven't gotten around to taking the cards out of my cameras yet!

Hmm, guess you didn't get the lid on all the way!
Glad your phone is working now, I guess that is why I usually call you and send you emails and FB messages and then call Ian if I still haven't heard from you! :)
Great solution on the display!
Today the display looks more like chicken pox than a map. I'm assuming that's an improvement!
