Thursday Thanks Tank #30: Christmas Eve!

I hope you have a GREAT Christmas! We always have a really great Christmas Eve with my parents and tomorrow we're heading to Dallas (Oregon) for a get-together with my mom's side of the family :).

I love this time of year, I love decorations, I love friends and family getting together, I love giving (and receiving) presents, I love the warmth and cheer.

I also love the fact that Jesus was willing to give up Heaven and come as a baby to be with us, and to experience our pains and frustrations...just to die for us. Amazing love. Amazing Savior!

So this Christmas Eve I'm thankful for:

1. Jesus's Birth. As I said before I'm amazed by God, as Jesus coming as a baby. Thank You Jesus!

2. Family Get-Togethers. I LOVE my family getting together with food and joking and telling stories (even if they're the same stories every year!) and exchanging gifts. We have a great time!

3. Christmas Trees. I LOVE having a Christmas tree in my house. I feel sorry for Mandi not having one this year....if I would have been thinking on my feet a few days ago I would have bought a small one and broke into her new house and put one up. I didn't think about that until yesterday...much too late to get it done. Shucks! Our cat keeps trying to eat ours...but it's BEAUTIFUL!!!

4. Warm fires and hot cocoa. Do I need to explain that one?

5. Christmas Music. I think God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is my favorite one this year. Last year it was Lasso Santa Claus. I wonder what will be my favorite next year?

6. Christmas lights!! Sparkly and pretty :)

7. Not having to drive to Dallas tomorrow. Dad is picking us up!! Woohoo, thanks Dad!!!

Made my eyes tear up thinking of all the pain He endured all for the Love of us. That truly is AMAZING love! I know He did that, but reading it here, just struck the chord different for some reason. Thank you for the reminder. Sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings

Ahh Jules! It is the thought that counts! It made me teary that you thought about it! :) Thanks!

Jesus coming to earth as a baby took on a new meaning for me last year and it still hit me hard this year. Kaden's arrival so close to the day we celebrate as Jesus' birth gave me new appreciation.
